A New Beginning
A few new and exciting beginnings in my professional journey...
Hi, friends! How has your week been so far?
I have fun update for you, but first, can we talk about zucchini? I recently picked what feels like 100 zucchini from our garden, and let me tell you, I could make the famous Stanley Tucci spaghetti and zucchini bread on repeat for the next 2 weeks and probably still have leftover squash. Send help. In the meanwhile, I will be revisiting this zucchini-centric newsletter from the archives for recipe inspiration while I work through the rest of our harvest. If you have favorite ways to use zucchini, please share in the comments - I’m open to any and all new ideas!
I am excited (and a little nervous!) to tell you about a new career development that’s been unfolding over the last few weeks. As I mentioned in a past post, I’ve been feeling ready for a change, professionally, for a while now. After years of uncertainty and countless conversations with my husband about what next steps should look like, I finally feel like I’ve found what I’ve been looking for all of this time. It took some trial and error, and being radically honest about what my priorities look like during this season of my life. It meant shedding old identities and preconceived notions of what my career path should look like, and letting go (for now) of some longterm goals and dreams. It meant losing a steady income from my recipe development work in order to be able to meaningfully pause and get clarity on what my next chapter should look like.
