Spring is my favorite time to do a little detox. The shift in seasons - especially as we transition from colder weather to the warmer months - is an ideal time to hit the “reset” button and give our bodies a chance to cleanse and recalibrate. Cleansing helps eliminate toxins, gives our digestive system a break, lifts brain fog, reduces bloat, increases energy, improves immunity and helps to break bad dietary habits/encourage better eating choices. There are all types of cleanses out there, but my favorites are the kind you can do at home with no pre-purchased meals, juices or starvation required. The focus is on whole, simple, nutritionally dense foods that will keep you nourished while gently supporting the detoxification process.
