The perfect movie night treat, my latest Netflix obsession and the best Italian restaurant I've been to stateside.
Good morning, friends! I hope you are all having a glorious weekend. We have had a pretty ideal (read: perfectly low-key) weekend over here: family movie night with home baked cookies, soccer games, craft fairs and bookstore visits. I am so excited that fall is officially in full swing, and Halloween decorations just might have to come out today! I hope this finds you savoring a slow, cozy morning - here are a few favorite things to enjoy with your morning coffee:
I’ve long been a proponent of fasting as a means of reducing our risk for and healing chronic disease, but it turns out it can positively impact hormone health, too. I recently listed to this podcast with Dr. Mindy Pelz which was so informative and interesting, I immediately ordered her book when it was done.
I am a sucker for good outerwear and currently pining for this classic jacket.
If you haven’t heard yet, Siete Foods was recently acquired by PepsiCo for a staggering sum. This Substack post breaks it down a bit more.
My family is planning on a Catskills getaway later this fall (find my area favorites here) and all I can think about is having dinner at Lola in Kingston, NY. We ate there for the first time on our last trip, and it was some of the best (if not the best) Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy. Everything is done to absolute perfection, so if you’re ever in the area, it’s well worth a stop.
Why Depression Symptoms Can be Worse at Night and what to do about it.
We just finished watching Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and I think it’s so well done. It’s very well acted, albeit a bit sensationalistic (it’s co-created by Ryan Murphy, after all), thought provoking and riveting from start to finish.
Hoping to make these with my girls for our next family movie night! How good do they look?!
How to Stop Checking Your Phone Every 10 Seconds - whew, need this lately!
The Siete products are not "cheap" but that's the "usual" behind most well made things. As an aside, I love the story behind the people who founded this company & I'm happy to read of their well earned success - partly achieved because they pulled together. https://sietefoods.com/pages/howwebuiltthis?srsltid=AfmBOoqWEYud9aKlajD70077Lj2oG_dhfk4-A2u8PYZccgVHjJGM1wLz
