Favorite Things
A new favorite good/bad holiday movie, mindful eating hacks, the most insane deal on heritage cookware, and a fascinating podcast episode.
Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope your weekend has been cozy and restful. I’m heading into New York City today for lunch and to stroll the Bryant Park Christmas Market, plus a few other fun things. There is simply no place like NYC in December.
Otherwise, I’m keeping busy with a recipe development project for a long-time client, and just slowing down to enjoy the season with my family. I’ve been trying to take my own advice and prioritize health in a balanced way this season, eating lots of simple, whole foods and veggies, carving out time for outdoor hikes, taking my barre class a few times a week, and practicing intermittent fasting (most days, anyway).
Before I head into the Big Apple, I’ll share a few favorite things (paid subscribers, share yours too, in the comments - I’d love to hear what you’re into, reading, watching, etc. these days!). Here we go:
I recently discovered the work of Dr. Casey Means and I can’t get enough. Listen to her episode on Huberman Lab and/or check out her book, Good Energy, to see what I’m talking about.
I’ll be making a batch of my Double Chocolate Peppermint Cookies soon (and psst, you should too, they’re so good!).
