Whew, what a week! Things have been crazy over here - we tackled our first science fair project with our 8 year old, and I was on a tight recipe deadline for a very exciting new client. Feeling grateful, but I’m so relieved that the weekend is in sight.
I’m also still chugging along with my wrist recovery; I’m mostly better, but still have some intermittent pain and discomfort that I’m working through in physical therapy a few times a week. I’m staying the course, but can’t wait until this is behind me. Life, man!
Otherwise, I’m in planning mode: planning for the summer and a few exciting trips, and planning for this space (and beyond!), where I will be sharing even more recipes and holistic health content with you. I have a few big announcements coming up in the next month or two, so stay tuned and get excited!
Until then, here’s what I’ve been loving:
-This article on food additives shines a much-needed light on the crap that’s added to so much of what we consume, and, most heartbreakingly, into foods specifically targeted for children. Many of these ingredients are endocrine disruptors and linked to cancer and behavioral problems - how is this still legal?
-I just started reading Gabby Bernstein’s The Universe Has Your Back and, so far, so good. I’ve been doing a deep dive into spirituality the last few years and really like Gabby’s work.
-Now that we’re spending more time outside, I’m stocking up on my favorite clean facial sunscreen. It’s lightweight, effective and gets the highest safety ratings from the EWG. Oh, and you can get 20% off your first order with code CLEANFORALL20.
-Loved this episode of The Ultimate Health Podcast with Dr. William Li - so many invaluable tips for warding off cancer and healing our bodies.
-I’ve been craving muffins lately, and this wholesome Spelt Blueberry Muffin recipe looks absolutely perfect.
-How pretty is this glass teacup set? They’d make the most perfect hostess gift, or teacher gift (along with a tin of great loose leaf tea).
-This Earl Gray Latte Chia Pudding sounds so good, I need to make ASAP, especially for chilly, gloomy spring mornings.
-I know I just mentioned Succession in my last Favorite Things, but Season 4, Episode 3 might just go down as one of my favorite TV episodes of all time (right up there with this). Exquisitely acted and totally riveting, I feel like I was holding my breath the entire episode.
Favorite Things.
I’m right there with you on Succession! I just started, on episode five season one! I’m hooked and look forward to all the great drama unfolding. I totally understand about just having to be patient when something is healing. I have had frozen shoulder on my left arm for 8 months now. Just so ready to be done with it, doing all the right things to help it along. It’s wayyyy better but not 100% yet. It’s taught me to slow down and not feel like I have to do so much exercise. 30 minutes walking, light weights, strengthening movements are great for a person who just turned 68. Feeling great and loving my vegan life.
