The Sunday Table
A new favorite Costco find, the t-shirt I bought in 4 different colors, a new landmark cancer study, and summer decluttering tips.
Happy Sunday! I hope this newsletter finds you all having a slow, relaxing day. I woke up this morning and played board games with my kids, the sun is (kinda) peeking out, and homemade pizza is on the menu for dinner. No complaints here!
I wanted to extend a thank you to anyone who filled out my survey and offered me words of encouragement following my post about my frustrations here on Substack. I appreciate anyone who reached out, or offered constructive feedback via the survey. Thank you, as always, for being such a kind, sensitive community. If you haven’t filled out the survey yet, there’s still time! It only takes a few minutes and your responses help shape the content and future of this newsletter. Thank you!
In the meanwhile, grab your coffee or tea and join me at The Sunday Table:
I’ve recently started helping out more in our vegetable garden (my husband does 99.99% of the work) so treated myself to a pair of garden clogs. I needed something that I can easily slip on/off and can be hosed down when they get dirty; these fit the bill perfectly.
No surprise here: Exercise Extends Life for People with Cancer
My newest TV binge is here in the form of Paradise on Hulu. It’s sort of a political thriller meets dystopian science fiction and very addictive.
We aren’t huge cereal eaters in my house (generally too processed, too sugary) but my kids really love this cookie granola - it has no refined sugar, is vegan/gluten free and contains a lot of fiber/protein per 1/3 cup serving. We love the oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip flavors with some unsweetened soymilk and berries in the morning. As a bonus, my local Costco just started carrying it!
I wear t-shirts almost every day in the summer and I am very picky about fit. I recently discovered these near-perfect tees and immediately bought one in navy, white, grey and black. They come with or without a pocket, too!
We had friends over for dinner last weekend and I made this salad that I’ve had bookmarked forever. It was perfect with homemade pizza, will definitely make again!
When the weather gets warm, I get the urge to declutter; here are 7 things that organizers say to get rid of before summer.
I’ve been enjoying making my way through the NY Times Creativity Challenge - there are 5 days worth of fun, easy prompts to help you feel “happier, lighter and less stuck”.
Happy Sunday, everyone!
That pizza salad sounds so good, thanks for sharing it!
I'm making that salad, too.....looks like the perfect side dish for a summer picnic or bar-b-que...thank you! Actually, it can also be the full entree - I bet it's very filling!
