Hello, Plant Magic family, and Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that wherever you are, you are spending today in the company of loved ones, in good health, with something yummy to eat. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about.
Gratitude has become somewhat of an overused buzzword lately, but it remains a lifeline for me. Life continues to present plenty of challenges, large and small, personally and globally. Reminding ourselves of all that is going right in our lives, all of the things that bring us daily joy and peace, can buoy us during the most difficult of days. Gratitude is most potent, however, when put into action form. Mental acknowledgement and daily lists are great practices, but if you’re thankful for your healthy body, for example, treat it well with daily movement and nutritious foods. If you’re most grateful for your family, find meaningful ways to show your love and devotion, beyond just saying “I love you”. Take care of your home, go the extra mile at work, take your dog for a walk - you get the idea. Remember that we aren’t entitled to any of these things; they could be taken away from us at a moment’s notice. Unfortunately, we often don’t realize how much we have until some of it is taken away. Once I shifted to this model of gratitude, the payoffs have been even bigger for me, and I’ve been able to find peace even during the most difficult of times.
In that spirit of gratitude, I want to express my sincere thanks to you. Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter each week and for being “my people”. For those of you who support my work financially, you are literally the reason why I can continue doing this (and I really love this newsletter, so thank you). I will continue to show my gratitude to you by doing my very best to bring you meaningful, inspiring content each week, all year long. I’m always here for your feedback, too - if you’d like to see more or something, or have a topic that you’re hoping I can write about, or just want to say hi, send me a message: lauren@laurenkretzer.com.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I’ll be back tomorrow with my biggest subscriber sale of the year (!!), so stay tuned for that!
Be well!
XO
Lauren
