Happy New Year, friends! Like cracking open a brand new journal or notebook, I love the freshness and possibility of a new year. I have been busy scribbling lists of goals and intentions, cobbling together Pinterest vision boards, and journaling about my biggest takeaways from 2022.
One of my intentions every January is to continuously work on optimizing my health and well being. I don’t aim for perfection, but I do want to feel and look my best, have plenty of energy to get through each day, sleep soundly and feel happy. Of course, minimizing my risk for cancer is always top of mind, too.
One of the better parts of the human experience is that we are constantly being given opportunities to start anew. When we’re given a chance to hit reset on our health (or anything, really), it’s essential to remember to meet yourself where you are. Starting from a place of self-criticism or negative energy will definitely not help you reach your goals. You have to believe that you are very capable of making change, and love yourself along the way, even the missteps. Easier said than done, I know, but that is our practice.
